Modular art is taking many of one object, or modules, and taking them to create a much larger work of art. In this case I used blue surgical gloves, blew them up and formed them into an odd looking worm that, on one half hangs on a wall and the other half suspends in mid-air. The idea behind this was that students would walk out of the back door of the WASH building and see the worm peeking out at them. The mouth of the work is covered with a flat wall of gloves to encourage students to stick their hand inside of the “beast.” Click the thumbnail to see more views of this work.
